Short Courses

Our short courses are designed to introduce students to new crafts and techniques, develop an idea from concept to creation and experiment with materials

Courses are accessible to everyone and will suit those looking for a taster course in a new craft, as well as those who want to build on existing skills and develop their ideas. Some of our courses are aimed at those with a specific project in mind, maybe to build a portfolio with a view to further study, or to establish a start-up business in textile crafts.

Complete novices can learn a new skill, and finish the course with a piece or body of work they can be proud of. For those with some knowledge and experience, our teachers will help you improve your skills, teach you some new techniques and encourage you to take your work in new directions.

The short courses are delivered by experienced tutors, many of whom also teach on the full- time Foundation Diploma courses. Classes are small and intimate so you will have plenty of one-to-one attention from your tutor who will cater to your level of ability.

NB. It is possible to join mid-way through many courses. Please contact us for details.
