Computer technology has become a dominant force in today's world, creating a wealth of exciting career opportunities for suitably qualified young people.
The key skills of the IT industry, computer programming, database construction, network management and e-commerce, are now such vital parts of modern business that practitioners of these skills can expect to be in great demand, and paid very high salaries. Yet training to be a computer practitioner is not as difficult as many believe.
Most students start at WLC with little or no previous experience of computing but are still able to learn the core skills within the duration of the Bachelors degree programme we offer, and go on to use these skills either for immediate and lucrative employment or as a platform for further, higher level study.
Superb facilities
Great emphasis is placed on practical training. The College has recently (January 2010) upgraded its computer facilities to ensure that our students continue to have access to the level of technology that they are likely to encounter in the modern commercial world. Students have access to these facilities outside normal class time. The computer labs stay open to 9-00pm to make sure that even the night owls are able to do their assignments when they are at their peak. And wi-fi access to the network is available from any part of the campus.
