Welcome to our Summer Business Courses 2012
Study our exciting business programme this summer in the dynamic capital city of London.
Created for University level students with a good intermediate level of English. You can join for either 4 or 8 weeks, after which you will receive a Certificate or Higher Certificate.* Classes take place in the morning, Monday to Friday (9am until 12 noon) with the option of English and Business English lessons in the afternoon.
The teachers
We have over 30 year's experience in providing high quality business programmes, our lecturers are highly qualified and teach at bachelor's or master's degree level and have been chosen for their expertise and communication skills.
Social Programme
We offer a full and exciting range of options (many of which are free) so that you can enjoy your spare time and make new friends.
English Language classes (extra cost)
If you would like to improve your English language skills you can attend classes in the afternoons.
Accommodation and airport collection (extra cost)
We offer a range of options including high quality, en-suite residences, as well as homestays with breakfast and evening meal. Please enquire for full details and availability.
The syllabus
All the essentials of business are covered including business administration, marketing, basic accounting and business law, providing an ideal foundation for further study or improved career success. The course includes visits to places of interest in London's world famous business district.
Both 4 and 8 week courses provide a familiarity with the world of Business Studies and the way business is structured and conducted in the UK. The programme can be studied on its own or as preparation for one of our Business, Finance or Marketing Bachelor's and Master's programmes at West London College.

4-week and 8-week programmes run from 9am to 12 noon each day. 8 week students study both parts one and two, and 4 week students study either part one or part two.
Entry Requirements
Academic Requirements:
- Students should have completed at least high school level although most students are currently studying at university or working full time
- For overseas students, a score of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent

Qualifications
- 4 weeks: BSC Certificate in Business Studies
- 8 weeks: BSC Higher Certificate in Business Studies The grading of the certificate will depend on attendance (which should be above 85%), assignments and class
English Language Options
Afternoon English language classes are an excellent way to improve and practise your English during the Business programme. Choose from either 5 or 10 lessons per week.
Business Excursions
As part of the programme all students must participate in our fun and informative business trips which may include visits such as the BMW-Mini manufacturing plant, the Law Courts, a major Retailer, a high-street Bank etc. There is normally 1 excursion every 2 weeks.
Fees
4 week Certificate in Business options
- £1,290 - Certificate only
- £1,530 - Certificate + 5 lessons of English per week
- £1,630 - Certificate + 10 lessons of English per week
8 week Higher Certificate in Business options
- £1,990 - Certificate only
- £2,330 - Certificate + 5 lessons of English per week
- £2,530 - Certificate + 10 lessons of English per week
