Pre-BBA: Diploma in Business Studies

Easy-access foundation course for BBA/BA entry.

Applicants for the bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, Business & Finance or Accountancy who lack the A-levels or equivalent qualifications required for direct entry can solve this problem by taking this foundation programme.

The syllabus has been carefully constructed by senior academics at West London College and Heriot-Watt University in collaboration with the Institute of Commercial Management to ensure that participants are well prepared for the academic rigour of all three bachelor's degrees.

The Diploma is divided into two levels, each lasting one semester. Most students will be required to take both levels to qualify for bachelor's degree entry, but students who pass all 5 subjects of Level 1 with marks of 60% or better may proceed directly to the degree without the need to take Level 2, and with a consequent transfer of their Level 2 tuition fees to their chosen degree programme.

Those students who complete both semesters will, in addition to qualifying for entry to the degree programmes, receive a Diploma in Business Studies from the Institute of Commercial Management, a qualification in its own right and rated at Level 4 on the UK National Qualification Framework.
